18 Copley St was recently sold and is now being gutted. There is a huge dumpster in the driveway. That’s fine. However, this morning as I walked by on the sidewalk, I had to walk through a huge thick cloud of dust to walk past the house, because someone was working in the dumpster with a pickaxe or shovel, smacking away at stuff. He was wearing a dust mask. If he’s wearing a dust mask, what’s in the dumpster? What’s in the dust? Given the age of the house, it’s not hard to imagine there is at least lead in there. Shouldn’t there be some sort of remediation to protect people walking by?

(Also, whoever’s in charge of the house has still not cleared the sidewalk of ice and snow, especially in front of the driveway).
