Description

*Love* the new protected intersection on the NE corner of Broadway and Galileo Galilei by the Akamai building, and I'm excited about the plans for the entire intersection to eventually get this treatment.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to make a slight change to the timing of the bicycle traffic signal for cyclists continuing on Broadway from Kendall Square to the NW. Currently, pedestrians get the LPI a few seconds ahead of both motorist and cyclist signals going green. However, it would be really nice if the cyclist traffic signal could also turn green with the LPI because 1) it will make cyclists more visible to motorists as they cross the intersection and 2) cyclists are already using the LPI to begin crossing anyway, and not waiting for the bike traffic signal.

Thanks for looking into this.
