I complained about this a couple of months ago and there was a response from the City. Whoever responded abnegated any responsibility on behalf of the City.
These wires were ostensibly installed lower than the height minimum limit. Because of this deficiency, the installing company put up warning flags on the wires. This is a danger to the neighborhood in that all electrical wires and telecommunication wires including fire alarms are threatening to be pulled down with the passage of tall vehicles and construction equipment. The City council and the Town Manager give approval for the installation of utility poles and wires over the public way. It is their responsibility through their staff to monitor such installations for public safety purposes.

Orange warning flags were hung on newly installed cable/wires over a year ago ostensibly because they were installed too low. These cable/wires are installed at a height that can be snagged by tall vehicles and could pull-down critical communication and electrical supply to the neighborhood. Please require the responsible entity correct this dangerous situation.

Contractor left a muddy mess on the street and sidewalk

Contractor’s negligence in maintaining water utility trench needs to be addressed immediately before it causes an accident in a residential area.

I would like to compliment Public Works for the fantastic job in safety pruning the tree in front of my house. The work was done during a two hour period when I was not home. When I returned I didn’t immediately notice that the work was done. I happened to look up and noticed that the limbs were cleared from my roof and then looked to see if the other work was done. The careful professional pruning and fastidious clean up was done so well it looked like they were never there.

This is an amendment to our request three months ago. Additionally, we request that the tree branch hanging over our roof be pruned. This branch is consistently whacking the house and potentially damaging our solar panels, roof shingles, and structure. Please give us some indication of when you may show up. Not knowing the timing is causing us some stress as we worry if we will lose our electricity anytime there is a storm because of the branch laying on top of our electrical service. Please call us!

Whole street missed compost bin pickup.

Water line contractor replaced broken out concrete panels and did not restore the water curb stop box. Also filled in the planter strips AND did not put in score lines between old concrete and new. This will leave an irregular and crumbly crack in shot order. Additionally the finish work is irregular and not to the quality of the existing undisturbed sidewalk.

Yesterday I complained about the lack of repair of a water contractor’s repair of this sidewalk. Thankfully the contractor’s crew came this morning. They told me they only intend to partially repair the side walk, leaving the trip edge caused by the sunken panel. This panel obviously sunk because of the work adjacent to it by the water contractor

Over a year ago a water contractor replaced the water service line. He has left a hazard for all of my walking and elderly neighbors to deal with. The remaining concrete panel has subsided creating a trip edge and there is now a sunken hole next to the wall.

What prompted this complaint was my watching a neighbor in a walker negotiating this man-made hazard. Please get the water contractor to fix this promptly.

5 work vans supplying workers, equipment and supplies to a full house construction project.

This is in violation of the stop construction work for the whole city bringing people from all over into a locked down city

Large bed and box spring left on sidewalk since before Christmas.

Two house frontages obstructed by bushes and weeds. The one closest to RESERVOIR ST makes me bob and weave as I walk, particularly problematic after dark.

Four Vehicles permanently parked. Not dug out of snow bank since snow storm.

These four vehicles remain un-moved for weeks at a time year round.
