Repeat violator, failure to clear the Clinton St. brick sidewalk of the 847 Mass Ave. corner property, while clearing the Mass Ave. frontage.
They were repeatedly warned last year but not fined, in 9073623 and 9297160.
They were cited for the storm a week ago but apparently did not get the message: 11837361.

    Please enforce aggressively.
Otherwise it would appear that it is cheaper to pay the occasional small fine than to actually clear the sidewalk.

I am unclear as to when they were supposed to have cleared the sidewalk by after this weekend's storm. The City's website does not say, and the language of the ordinance is unclear: "within twelve hours after snow ceases to fall in the daytime and before one p.m. after a fall of snow during the night." Snow stopped yesterday afternoon around 2pm, so perhaps she sidewalk should have been cleared by 2am. But it then restarted and continued intermittently until around 5am, so in any case it stopped "during the night," so in all cases sidewalk should be cleared by 1pm.

The City really should publicly post the time that snowfall ends, as other towns do. E.g. Brookline indicates snowfall ended at 4am: https://www.brooklinema.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=811

In any event, it is now after 1pm and the 847 Mass Ave. sidewalk is not clear.

The Clinton St. sidewalk of this corner property is icy and was never cleared to the required three feet. Property owner has been a chronic violator in years past and seemed to do better at the start of this year's weather but has not adequately maintained their sidewalk. It has been frozen for well over 6 hours so this is a violation.

The WALK signal on the NE corner of the Harvard/Inman has completely failed and does not illuminate. See picture. Other signals at the same intersection function properly.

(Also the DON'T WALK signal has some individual failed pixels.)

    27 Lee St Cambridge, MA 02139, USA - Mid-Cambridge

Large pothole in the middle of the street, hazard to bikes and cars alike. Been there for a month.

Most of the gravel from the hole is now gone.

SCF#11334527 was opened on Oct. 20 and recategorized to "Water Cuts" and no one responds there. One might call it a black (pot) hole.

Please treat this as an escalation.
    Thank you.

2 of 3 new meters inconsistent with posted signage.

I watched a confused driver trying to pay the meter on the recently converted meter spaces on Clinton adjacent to Mass Ave last night, which are signed 2 hour parking. But the double-meters are 1 hour meters.

Please make the meters and the signage consistent. Either 1hr meters with 1hr signage or 2hr meters with 2hr signage, but not the current state of 2hr signage with one 2hr meter and two 1hr meters.

I think changing the meter is the right cLl here but there is no SCF category for parking meter maintenance that I could find.

Signage photo to follow in next comment.

Weird misleading arrow on local signage.

Local small business advocate(s) (?) have added clarificatory signage to the new bike flexposts, which is fine, except the arrow on the far sign (in photo) appears to indicate that the bike lane is the loading zone.

I'm sure that is not the intent and I doubt many would be confused but it speaks to the inadequacy of signage by the City and it would be good if all signage were clear, regardless of authorship.

    Missing flexposts!

The pavement is clearly marked for flexpost installation but the holes are not drilled nor the threaded cores epoxies in. Yet clearly cars are not respecting the new bike lane here (see photo) so they are requires here.

Why are the posts not installed? If the City is short inventory (!) please deploy cones.
