Description
We would like the tree you see in the photo replaced with a larger tree. Our neighbors just had their street trees planted which are three times of the size of our poor little tree. Our little tree is constantly getting bump and knocked into by passer by walkers. We really need the shade. Please let me know what can be done and thank you!

Thank you for your request. The sizes of the trees we plant vary based on the species and nurseries where we source our trees. All new trees are treated with compost tea shortly after planting. The tree at 33 Lexington is in good condition and meets our planting standards. It does not require replacement.
Please consider becoming a Forest Friend and sponsoring your new tree. The City will be watering your tree for at least the next 2 years but new trees need a lot of water and helping to care for your tree would go a long way towards getting it established and thriving. https://www.cambridgema.gov/IWantTo/CambridgeUrbanForestFriends
